Big Air

Black Diamond’s coed Big Air Program is especially designed for skiers, boarders, skaters, divers, etc. in Heber City and surrounding areas. This program is ideal for athletes looking for cross-training opportunities in their respective sports. The curriculum focuses on trampoline and tumbling instruction designed to enhance core strength, air awareness and self-confidence while learning the proper flipping and twisting technique.


Big Air Jr 1 (5-7 yrs)

Introductory class for younger athletes looking to develop their air awareness, and basic trampoline and tumbling skills. Athletes will learn proper gym etiquette and discipline in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Skills include rolls, spins, positions, grabs, and early stages of off-axis rotations.

Big Air Jr 2 (5-7 yrs)

Intermediate-level class for younger athletes that continues to develop multiple skill sequences and introduces students to off axis skills and combinations. Pre-requisites – Athletes must demonstrate on the trampoline: front flip to feet, 540’s left & right, misty roll & back drop.

Big Air I (8 YRS+)

Introductory class in which students will learn on-axis skills and bed tricks in addition to spins, grabs and early stages of off-axis rotations.

Big Air II (8 YRS+)

Intermediate level class that continues to develop multiple skill sequences and introduces students to off-axis skills and combinations. Pre-requisites: Athlete must demonstrate on the trampoline a front flip to feet, 540’s left and right, Misty Roll, and a Back Drop Pullover (peanut roll).

Big Air III (10 YRS+)

Advanced level class. Athletes will be challenged in this class as there is no limit to the progressions and skills you’ll be able to work towards. Pre-requisites: Athlete must demonstrate on the trampoline requirements listed for Big Air II plus a back flip to feet and a 720 spin left and right, Misty 540 to feet and a Corkroll. Must also demonstrate knowledge of grabs and trampoline safety. This class is by invitation only.
