Tumbling
Black Diamond’s coed tumbling program is especially designed for cheerleaders, dancers, divers and those looking for a fun activity to stay in shape and learn beginner through advanced tumbling skills. These tumbling classes appropriately challenge athletes in order to reach their goals by utilizing our Euro trampolines, tumble-tramp, rod-floor and padded training areas at BDG – Wasatch.
Beginning Tumbling (5 YRS+)
This is an entry level tumbling class that focuses on developing the fundamentals of tumbling. Athletes will be introduced to forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and round-offs.

Intermediate Tumbling
This intermediate class will challenge students to strengthen basic tumbling skills and introduce power tumbling movements. Students must be able to demonstrate a strong handstand position, cartwheels and backward rolls to qualify for this class.

Back Handspring 101 (5 YRS+)
Back Handspring 101 will introduce athletes to the building blocks of somersaults. While athletes continue to solidify basic fundamental skills, the focus will be on progressions of back handsprings. Students must be able to demonstrate a bridge kick-over and strong roundoff to qualify for this class.

Flip ‘N Twist (5 YRS+)
Flip ‘n Twist is an advance class that develops connected tumbling sequences. Athletes will be introduced to front and back flips as well as twisting skills. Students must be able to demonstrate a connected roundoff + back handspring sequence to qualify for this class.
